Former Metro Jets forward/defenseman Ian Cosgrove has committed to play for the State University of New York at Fredonia beginning in the 2009-2010 season.The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Cosgrove appeared in 13 regular-season games for the Jets during the 2006-2007 season, amassing eight points on three goals and five assists. He also went pointless in the Jets' two playoff games that spring.
This year, the 19-year-old Rochester native recorded five goals and 18 assists for 23 points with the Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
