Patrick McNeill, captain of the Saginaw Spirit, was named the OHL's top defenceman for February after scoring six goals and seven assists for 13 points in 12 games.He also compiled a plus-7 plus-minus rating in February. McNeill is the top scoring blueliner in the OHL this season with 20 goals and 50 assists for 70 points in 59 games.
He was Saginaw's first overall pick in the OHL Priority Selection in 2003.
