Plymouth built a 4-1 lead after one period of play on goals by John Armstrong, James Neal (above) and a pair from Andrew Fournier, but the Whalers blew that lead and allowed six unanswered goals by Windsor as the Spitfires took a 7-4 win in Windsor last night.
Game 7 of this first round series is tomorrow night in Plymouth.
Justin Peters finished with 26 saves in net for the Whalers. Plymouth outshot Windsor, 36-33.
