The Alpena IceDiggers have signed goaltender Dan Pason to a tender to play in Alpena next season.
The Trenton native spent the 2006-2007 playing for Bill Ciraulo with the Little Caesars midget major team and prior to playing at Little Caesars, Pason played at powerhouse Trenton High School.
"Dan comes highly recommended from Billy who has had great things to say about him," Alpena coach-GM Kenny Miller said. "Every time we saw him play he was very good. He deserves a chance to play juniors. We are thrilled that Dan has decided to come to Alpena next year where he will get an opportunity to step in and play games if he performs to his ability."
The 1989 birth year had a record of 22-9-5 with a 2.11 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage this season. As a junior at Trenton in 2005-2006, Pason had a record of 23-4-1 with a 1.71 GAA.
The highly-touted goaltender is the second player to sign a tender for the 2007-2008 season joining Toledo Cherokee forward Tyler Pilmore.
