Three home games in three days meant three losses for the Alpena IceDiggers over the weekend.
Friday, Johnny Morrow (pictured) made 27 saves, but Alpena lost, 3-0, to the Mahoning Valley Phantoms.
In Saturday's rematch, Phil Greer stopped 22, but the IceDiggers lost, 5-2. Anthony McIntyre and Todd Rudasill scored Alpena's goals.
Then yesterday, Drew Pierson's goal at 17:37 of the third period tied the game at 3-all before Cleveland won, 4-3, in a shootout. McIntyre scored the first two IceDiggers' goals. Morrow finished with 27 saves and all five Alpena shooters missed in the shootout.
