Jackets add Cirone, Clark to staff

The Motor City Metal Jackets have announced that Jason Cirone has been named the team’s assistant general manager and assistant coach and also announced the reassignment of Sean Clark to the position of director of scouting and player development.

“We’re excited to have Jason and Sean part of our organization,” said Metal Jackets head coach and general manager David Cole. “Both are well respected in the hockey community and both will play a big role in the success of our team and the development of our players.”

Cirone rejoins the junior hockey ranks after an 18-year professional hockey career. A draft choice of the Winnipeg Jets, Cirone also played in the Florida Panthers organization. Cirone also played six years of pro in Italy and represented the country at the 2006 Olympics.

Clark will oversee the Metal Jackets’ scouting staff and the monitoring of player development for the organization.

The Metal Jackets have also agreed to an affiliation with the Flint Junior Generals of the Central States Hockey League (Tier III Junior A).
