North Stars add new staff member

It’s still July, but the newest member of the Traverse City North Stars is already lacing ’em up.

The North Stars recently added Wendy Nienhouse, owner of Red Hot Marketing in Traverse City, to serve as Marketing and Advertising Manager. Nienhouse brings over 20 years of marketing experience to the organization.

“We’re very excited to have Wendy on board,” said North Stars head coach-GM Anthony Palumbo. “There’s no doubt that her expertise, experience and conscientious approach will help strengthen that side of the operation. She’s a tremendous asset and we’re very fortunate to have her aboard.”

In addition to engineering RedHot’s array of marketing, public relations, and design appendages, Nienhouse is an active member of the community. She serves as an ambassador for the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce, is a contributing marketing expert for Grand Traverse Women’s Magazine and along with husband Todd, is co-founder of Agevix, LLC – Michigan’s professional network of specialized exercise to support survivors of traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury.

The longtime Traverse City resident also coordinates youth missions as a Youth Educator with Traverse City Central United Methodist Church and is active in the Traverse City Area Public Schools athletic and music boosters.

“I’m extremely enthused about joining forces with the North Stars,” Nienhouse said. “The team is a bona fide community asset and the North Stars offer a tremendous family-friendly product that is naturally appealing to area corporate partners. I’m excited to be a part of it.”
