Ward, Ryder added to West All-Stars

The Ontario Hockey League today announced additions to the Western Conference roster for the All-Star Classic.

Plymouth Whalers’ defenseman Steve Ward and forward Daniel Ryder have been added to the roster along with Sarnia Sting defenceman Mark Katic and Windsor Spitfires’ forward Joshua Bailey.

Ward was added to replace Patrick McNeill of the Saginaw Spirit and Ryder was named to replace Bobby Ryan of the Owen Sound Attack.

Ward, a 20-year-old native of Scarborough, Ont., has 11 goals and 21 assists and has a plus/minus rating of plus-10 in 47 games this season.

Ryder, a 20-year-old native of Bonavista , Newfoundland , has 28 goals and 69 points in 37 games.
