The Saginaw Spirit will be hosting the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds for two playoff games this week – Wednesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 27.
Both games will take place at 7:11 PM at TheDow Event Center in Saginaw. Saturday night's home game was postponed due to unsafe ice conditions, but the team found better conditions when they hit the ice Monday morning for practice.
“The ice is getting better and should be in good shape when Wednesday comes around," stated Spirit captain Ryan McDonough. “TheDow has done a good job getting the ice in shape for the next game."
Fans can turn in their ticket stub from Saturday's contest for admittance into Thursday's home game or get a full refund in-person at TheDow Event Center box office or the Saginaw Spirit merchandise store.
“We came out of the locker room after a two-hour delay Saturday night and still found the building packed," added McDonough. "The guys (Spirit players) really appreciated the show of support and we look forward to seeing everyone back at TheDow Wednesday and Thursday night."
The Spirit and TheDow Event Center are pleased to announce beer and concession specials for Wednesday and Thursday night's games. TheDow will be selling 22-ounce draft beers for $2.50 each – regularly priced at $5 each. Popcorn, medium soft drinks and king size candy bars will be sold for $1 each, plus fans can receive a special $1 off coupon for a frozen drink at TheDow Event Center's Frosty Coconut Bar.
