The Plymouth Whalers have drawn the Kitchener Rangers in the first round of the Ontario Hockey League playoffs, starting Friday night at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.The dates of the Whalers-Rangers Western Conference Quarterfinal series are as follows:
Game 1 - Friday, March 21 at Kitchener, 7:30 p.m.
Game 2 - Saturday, March 22 at Plymouth, 7:05 p.m.
Game 3 - Monday, March 24 at Kitchener, 7:30 p.m.
Game 4 – Wednesday, March 26 at Plymouth 7:05 p.m.
Game 5 (*) - Friday, March 28 at Kitchener 7:30 p.m.
Game 6 (*) - Saturday, March 29 at Plymouth 7:05 p.m.
Game 7 (*) - Tuesday, April 1 at Kitchener 7:30 p.m.

Kitchener (league-best 53-11-1-3, 110 points) is the top team in the Canadian Hockey League rankings and will host the Mastercard Memorial Cup in May. Plymouth (34-28-2-4, 74 points) finished the regular season as the eighth seed in the OHL’s Western Confrence playoff race.
