Aaron Leonard, the ever likeable captain of the 2010-2011 Soo Eagles, has committed to the Marian University Sabres of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.Leonard, a 21-year-old from Allen Park, had recieived numerous offers and finally chose to move on to Marian.
Leonard played two seasons for the Eagles. In his rookie season of 2009-2010, he lead the Eagles with 22 goals and 45 assists for 67 points. He again added 67 points in the 2010-2011 season with 28 goals and 39 assists.
The always smiling Leonard was a steadfast performer for the Eagles in the 2011 NOJHL playoffs and scored 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points in 17 games.
