Saginaw Spirit partners Hooters and Kreager Towing will be presenting the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Team on Saturday as the Red Wings will be facing off against the Mid-Michigan Local All-Stars hockey team at 6:00 p.m., prior to the 7:40 p.m. Spirit home game against the Belleville Bulls.
The Spirit game start time was delayed to accommodate the Red Wings game.
The Red Wings Alumni team will be signing autographs for Spirit fans during the Spirit game in Dow Event Center concourse. Assorted Red Wings Alumni merchandise will be available for purchase at the game.
Participating in the game for the Red Wings are Joe Kocur, Bill Evo, Dennis Hextall, Shawn Burr and Lee Norwood. Dino Ciccarelli and Mickey Redmond are tentatively scheduled to appear at the game. The Mid-Michigan Local All-Stars include former Saginaw Gears Mel Hewitt and Jean-Marie Nichol, Brian Kischnick and J.J. Bamberger. The Local All-Stars are led by Spirit associate coach Ian Herbers.
