The Plymouth Whalers and Alpena IceDiggers both lost in games played Thursday night.
Plymouth got just a goal from James Neal in a 5-1 loss at Sarnia. Michal Neuvirth stopped 28 shots in net. The Whalers, still in first place in the OHL's West Division, host Erie tonight.
Alpena, meanwhile, was blanked, 3-0, at home by the U.S. Under-17 Team. Shawn Hunwick made 25 saves for the IceDiggers, who start a two-game series at home with Marquette tonight.
