The Soo Indians advanced to the NOJHL finals with a 5-3 Game 7 win over the North Bay Skyhawks last night at Big Bear Arena.The two teams traded first-period goals with Sam Yearsley scoring a late power-play goal for the Indians.
Scott Pulak, captain Isaac Viau, Austin Brown and Mike Connolly added goals in the second period for the Soo.
Both teams were held off the scoresheet in the third period.
Brennan Poderzay (pictured) made 40 stops in the Soo net.
Next up for the Indians is a best-of-seven with the Sudbury Jr. Wolves. Game 1 is tomorrow night at Big Bear Arena at 7 p.m. Sudbury hosts Game 2 Sunday night at 7 p.m.
